SEEDS Trauma Informed-Care for Infants and Toddlers Training Series
This 4-part training series explores how to co-regulate with and promote self-regulation in infants and toddlers, including those who have experienced trauma. ECE competencies covered in this training series include: Child Development and Learning.
This is a live virtual training conducted through Zoom. The training series will be offered in both English and Spanish. The 4-part SEEDS training series is designed and recommended to be completed as a cohort.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance after each module and a Certificate of Completion after completing all 4 modules. Additionally, training participants who provide their California Early Care and Education Workforce Registry ID number will receive 2 hours of professional development credit for each training module. *Please allow 30 days for your credit to post.

TRAINING MODULE TOPICS AND DATES
Part 1: Recognizing Infant & Toddler Cues
English – August 9, 2023

This training explores with participants how adults can co-regulate with and promote self-regulation in infants and toddlers, including those who have experienced trauma. Participants will learn how to recognize the types of cue that infants and toddlers demonstrate, and discuss and analyze how early childhood trauma and other early adversities can impact infants’ and toddlers’ cues.
Part 2: Understanding Infant & Toddler Cues
English – August 16, 2023
Spanish – July 19, 2023
This training explores with participants how adults can co-regulate with and promote self-regulation in infants and toddlers, including those who have experienced trauma. Participants will practice understanding (or seeking to understand) the meaning of cues that infants and toddlers demonstrate when they are regulated or dysregulated and discuss and analyze how early childhood trauma and other early adversities can impact infants’ and toddlers’ cues.
Part 3: Responding in Hot Moments to Infants & Toddlers
English – August 23, 2023
Spanish – July 26, 2023
This training explores with participants how adults can co-regulate with and promote self-regulation in infants and toddlers, including those who have experienced trauma. Participants will practice how to respond to cues in hot moments, and discuss and analyze how early childhood trauma and other early adversities can impact infants’ and toddlers’ cues.
Part 4: Responding in Cool Moments to Infants & Toddlers

This training explores with participants how adults can co-regulate with and promote self-regulation in infants and toddlers, including those who have experienced trauma. Participants will practice how to respond to cues in cool moments, and discuss and analyze how early childhood trauma and other early adversities can impact infants’ and toddlers’ cues.

Enrollment is managed through our online Learning Management System – BridgeBuilder. In order to enroll in an individual module or the entire training series, participants will need to first create a BridgeBuilder account.

This training has a pre-requisite of the entire 8-part Trauma-Informed Care Core Training Series. Send an email to ticbridgeadvisors@crystalstairs.org to enroll in this training. The instructors will verify your pre-requisites, and upon verification, will send you an enrollment link to enroll in the training through BridgeBuilder. Participants may also use Bridge Builder to search for and place themselves in the waitlist of any of the individual training modules.
